Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 500 g shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Tacos

  • 8 small corn tortillas or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage green or purple
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges

Shrimp Taco Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream or yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

Prepare the shrimp

  • Pat shrimp dry. In a bowl, mix with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

Cook the shrimp

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.

Make cabbage slaw

  • In a bowl, mix shredded cabbage with lime juice, salt, and chopped cilantro for fresh slaw.

Prepare shrimp taco sauce

  • Mix mayonnaise, sour cream (or yogurt), lime juice, garlic powder, and hot sauce until smooth and creamy.

Warm tortillas

  • Heat tortillas on a skillet or directly over flame until soft and slightly charred.

Assemble shrimp tacos

  • Fill tortillas with shrimp, add slaw, avocado slices, and drizzle shrimp taco sauce on top.
