- 1 lb ground beef 80/20 recommended
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ¾ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper optional
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- ¼ cup water or beef broth
- 1 tbsp lime juice or apple cider vinegar
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and cook 6–8 minutes, breaking into small crumbles.
Drain excess fat, leaving a thin layer.
Add seasoning and cook 1 minute.
Stir in tomato sauce and water/broth.
Simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.
Finish with lime juice or vinegar and serve.
